Bed room DJ for over 14 years with the hold back of having really poor equipment! Finally in 2005 he bought some decent equipment and Barbwire played out for the first time @ Flava Unit, he has not looked back since!

Although he enjoys all forms of Drum and Bass, he is certainly on the jump up/ragga tip, “I just love seeing the crowd go mental” says Barbwire. The ragga vocals and the grimey basslines are his favourite combo! He has now played along side some of the major players in the game including Micky Finn, Grooverider, Hype, Kenny ken and many more!

In 2006 he joined the Back 2 Skool team, working along side Neil Badboy and Dev to promote a successful night in Kettering, this just fuelled his hunger for the music and to put on a good party! His old skool nights gives him the opportunity to play the stuff he had been practising with all those years in his bedroom, but not had the chance to play them out yet, “it takes me back to my childhood to some of the best music that there has ever been!!”

Now in 2008 Barbwire and Neil Badboy are at it again launching their new Up-front Drum N Bass night – Lethal Impact on September 27th.

Recently graduated from DMU university after studying for a BA Hons in Graphic Design, he has concentrated on flyer design which is also a passion of his, being the creator for all the flyers for his nights. Once finished at Uni he wished to offer this service to a larger market! He also one day wishes to produce his own beats, but due to Uni this just isn’t possible yet…… but watch this space!
