PAPA RUDY

Became immersed in the music scene back in 1992 after my brother took me to a Fantastic Club Ibiza event at the Roller Express in Edmonton. Shortly after i started going to Friday night sessions called The Temple @ Linford Film Studios, Battersea. It was here where i witnessed a memorable set by Frankie "Shag" Bones which convinced me that i wanted to DJ. Got together with some friends and formed the "Jungle Bunch" to showcase ourselves locally and promote Drum & Bass music.

1995 Co-presented the weekly "Runaway Show" with DJ Sniper, Mc's Terrorist & Scam on Storm FM
Dropped off the scene around 2003 for a few years to concentrate on work, moved to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, where I played @ Club Orange. However 2.5 years later realised i still couldn't deny myself the passion i felt for the UK underground music scene.

Fast Fwd to today, After a few guest slots on Ravedance.net and Quantumsoundz I got the bug again ! Although I'm not a high profile DJ, I'm back on the 1200's doing what i enjoy most. The scene has progressed but the pioneers who made it all possible are still going strong and it's also good see new talent breaking through !

Shout out to, Poleaxe for the Bring in, DJ Assassin, Randall, Five-O, Grooverider, Benny Page, Bailey, Kenny Ken, Sniper, Glory, F1, Ozzie, Blacka, Arctic Kev, Wacko, DJ ice, MC Jambz, Style-One, TT, The Deck Doctor for keeping my 1200's alive and the rest of the Quantum family....Bless !
